Leslie Kickstarts Bulldog Offense to Wins Over Louisville, Plattsmouth

The Auburn boys basketball team has been struggling to knock down three pointers to start the season, shooting only 25 percent on 61 attempts from beyond the arch through their first three games, but with missed shots come opportunity as the Bulldogs have hauled in 15 offensive rebounds a game, leading to a 3-0 start as Auburn added double-digit wins over Louisville and Plattsmouth this past week.

18 of senior Cameron Leslie’s rebounds this season the have been off shots missed by Bulldog players, giving Auburn multiple opportunities attempt field goals. Senior Nolan Gardner, in his first three games as a starter, has hauled in 21 rebounds so far, 13 of them on the offensive end.

Auburn’s Friday night home game against Elmwood-Murdock was canceled shortly before game time due to complications of weather. No decision has been made yet in regards to a rescheduling of the game.
