After a 16-point loss to Class C2 contender Freeman before the holiday break, the Bulldogs got back in the swing of things with big wins over Axtell, Kan. and Lourdes Central Catholic in the Lourdes Central Catholic Holiday Basketball Tournament on December 30 and 31.
Following the holiday tournament championship, Auburn hosted Class C1 #3 rated Ashland-Greenwood on Thursday, January 2. The Bulldogs had a late lead, but couldn’t close the game out, resulting in a 51-42 loss in overtime to the Bluejays.
The Bulldogs improved to 5-2 on the season.
