In their initial meeting of 2025, the Nemaha County Commissioners Thursday morning, Jan. 2, signed the four-county juvenile diversion interlocal agreement.
Besides Nemaha, the arrangement includes Johnson, Pawnee and Richardson counties.
The primary focus of diversion is youth involved in behaviors detrimental to health and wellness, which is likely to lead to involvement in the juvenile justice system.
