Before Friday night, the Lady Eagle basketball program had never won a championship in either division of the MUDECAS tournament, but after earning the top seed in the A division bracket, Johnson-Brock defeated HTRS, Diller-Odell, and Falls City Sacred Heart, to be the top team at the tournament in Beatrice.

Quarterfinal vs #8 HTRS Ottemann recorded her fourth career 30 point game, scoring 31 to go with seven rebounds, four steals, and two assists as Johnson-Brock started the MUDECAS tournament with a 69-35 win over HTRS on Monday.
