The Dalinghaus boys, Camden and Casen, combined from 44 points in Johnson-Brock’s only boys basketball game last week. Coming off a 26-point performance in the MUDECAS final, Camden kept it rolling to score a career-high 28 points to go with seven rebounds to beat Exeter-Milligan/ Friend 65-52. The Bobcats put up a much tougher fight on Friday, January 24 than they did in the MUDECAS semifinal, in which the Eagles ran away with a 75-31 victory. Last week, EMF found ways to score against the Eagle defense, scoring double-digits in each quarter, something they only did once in Beatrice the Thursday before.
Junior Brody Koehler’s double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds was needed in the much closer rematch on Friday. Koehler also sed the team in assists with five, tied with Casen who also had a team-high three steals to go with his 16 points.
Johnson-Brock outscored the Bobcats by seven in the first quarter and let 32-21 at halftime. EMF would hang with the Eagles in the second half, but Johnson-Brock would maintain their lead to win by 13 points to improve to 15-0 on the season.
