Peru State College (PSC), as well as Chadron and Wayne State colleges are integral to the growth of Nebraska’s economy, workforce and the municipalities they serve.
An economic impact study conducted by Lightcast reveals that the Nebraska State College System (NSCS) contributed $1.4 billion to Nebraska’s economy during fiscal 2022-2023. It is equivalent to nearly 1 percent of the state’s total gross state product.
The impact translates to 18,890 jobs supported across Nebraska. It accounts for 1 in every 75 jobs in the state.
