Hayes Earns First Trip to State Wrestling; Rowell Looks to Make Waves in 215 Pound Bracket

The Auburn boys wrestling team has two qualifiers for the state wrestling championships, one new and one returner. Junior Logan Rowell placed second at the District B4 Tournament in Waverly on Saturday, February 15 to earn a return trip to state. Going alongside him is sophomore Ryan Hayes, who finished third in the 132 pound bracket to earn a trip to Omaha. Auburn finished last out of 12 teams in the district with 49 team points. Host Waverly won the district tournament by a wide margin.

State Tournament Information

The NSAA boys wrestling championships will be held at CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha from Thursday, February 20 to Saturday, February 22.
