Campbell, Mazzulla Medal at Historical Girls State Wrestling Championships
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RUNNER-UP Hadley Mazzulla digs for a half nelson against her first round opponent, Capri Sayer of Lincoln Southwest. Mazzulla went on to win two more matches, earning herself a place in the Parade of Champions and another battle against JCC’s Jocelyn Prado in the finals. Mazzulla fell to Prado and finished her freshman season 36-8 and second place at the state tournament.

84 Class B girls wrestling programs were represented at the 2025 NSAA Wrestling State Championships and among the field, four Bulldog girls led the team to a 16th place finish in the tournament.

Hadley Mazzulla scored 21 team points with a second place finish in the B100 bracket. Lucia Campbell finished fourth in the B145 bracket for 16 team points. The Bulldogs were boosted by four points from return qualifier Gretchen Paschal and three points from Addie Henry to total 44 points.

The two-day tournament from Tuesday, February 18 to Wednesday, February 19 was the first time in state history that the girls had their own tournament, separate from the boys, who wrestled the following three days.
