Johnson-Brock Girls Ride 50-Point District Final Win Into State
ALEXIS FALK defends the ball as her teammates swarm. The Lady Eagle defense was a force Friday night, holding Valentine to 15 points.

A year after the Lady Eagle basketball team was upset in a four-overtime thriller, the top rated Johnson-Brock girls left no doubt in the C2-1 District Final, dismantling #16 Valentine by a score of 65-15 in Johnson on Friday, February 28.

Taryn Ottemann scored a basket in the post off a Chloe Vice assist on the first possession of the game as the Lady Eagles pulled ahead immediately and never looked back.

The hunger for a state tournament spot by the Lady Eagles was on display from the jump, as Johnson-Brock players were all over the court, diving for loose balls and hustling for every play. Johnson-Brock scored 21 points in the first quarter while holding Valentine to three points. Valentine wouldn’t score a field goal until the start of the second quarter.
