Of the 72 teams competing in the Nebraska School Activities Association’s boys and girls state basketball championships, only 12 will have a #1 rating next to their name.
Johnson-Brock is the only school in the state to have both their boys and their girls teams enter the tournament as the top seed.
The Eagles entered the 2024-25 season as the favorite and has retained their status at the top of Class D1 all season. Riding a 36-game winning streak, which spanned two state titles, Johnson- Brock had their top three scorers back in Camden Dalinghaus, Casen Dalinghaus, and Brody Koehler. All three players improved their scoring this season, but Camden leads all Eagles with 16.9 points per game as well an 83 percent rate on 123 made free throws, more than triple any of his teammates’ made free throws.
