Eagles Tear Through D1 Tournament for Third Straight State Title
BRODY KOEHLER slams down one of his two dunks in the opening round of the D1 state tournament against Elmwood- Murdock.

All season the Johnson-Brock boys basketball team stood atop the rest of Class D1 as the favorite to win the title again this March and with a target on their back from the first tip off, no team in D1 could knock off the two-time defending champions as Johnson-Brock defeated all three of their state tournament opponents by at least 15 points.

The top rated Eagles, entered the tournament with a 26-1 record with a first round matchup against #8 Elmwood-Murdock, which they handled swiftly, winning by 41 points.

The Eagles faced #4 McCool Junction in the semifinals on Friday and were tied at halftime, but a 18-2 third quarter in favor of the Eagles put them in the state title game once again.
