A controversial ordinance introduced during the February Auburn City Council meeting that would prohibit the use of all-terrain vehicles recieved no go-ahead votes from the council during its first reading on Monday, March 10, rendering the ATV ban dead.
The decision was much to the approval of around a dozen citizens that indicated to Mayor Chris Erickson that they were attending the meeting regarding the proposed ATV ban.
One of those people in attendance was Larry Draper, who was a supporter of the ordinance passed in 2014 that allowed for the use of ATVs, which Draper said prompted many citizens to go out and buy ATVs.
