Two Nemaha County communities have been recently been awarded funding from the Civic and Community Center Financing Fund (CCCFF) toward park renovation projects.
The city of Auburn was awarded $562,000 with a local cash match of the same amount. The project details outlines improvements and updates to the Auburn Municipal Pool, including the pool shell and gutter system, waterslide, chemical and filter rooms, and bathhouse.
An excerpt from the grant application reads,“Despite continued investment in the facility by the City of Auburn, the pool needs substantial renovations to improve the operation, safety, and accessibility of the facility for the public.”
