Auburn’s lacked the offensive power to keep up with their opponents this past week, falling to Omaha North for the second time this season by a score of 3-1 and Omaha Concordia by a lopsided score of 10-0.
Lucia Campbell’s goal against the Vikings was Auburn’s only score of the week, but didn’t close the gap between them and Omaha North, who found the back of the net three times on Tuesday, April 9 in Auburn. The Bulldogs previously fell to the Vikings by a score of 1-0 in the Omaha North invitational on March 23.
A shorthanded Auburn team had no answers to the Mustangs’ offensive attack. Despite having the wind at their backs, the Bulldogs lost the first forty minutes 6-0, and struggled to hang with Omaha Concordia all game. In the 65th minute, the Mustangs ended the gave prematurely with their 10th goal to make Auburn 0-2 on the week and 0-7 officially on the season.
