The Auburn High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter brought home Adviser Maranda Gerdes noted students placed in 14 events and received an honorable mention, top 4 percent in five events. The chapter also has a state officer again for next year. Kristen Billings is the newly elected FBLA state secretary. She will be featured in a separate article.
Placings
Entries with an *asterisk preceding their name(s) will be taking part in the national leadership conference in Orlando, Fla. from Thursday, June 27 through Wednesday, July 3. Student entries placing first through third qualified for nationals. Students can compete in one event at the national event. Some students advanced to third place because of other schools being unable to attend the national conference, Gerdes noted.
