The Stella Fun Day/Run committee is preparing for its annual fighting cancer Fun Day and Run. The event will take place on Saturday, May 18, with the run starting the day at 7 a.m. and a number of exciting activities following, including games for kids, a clown, and live music! The Stella Fire Department will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers for a free-will donation lunch, and a silent auction will feature gift baskets provided by a number of sponsors.
All the money raised by the event will be donated to Nemaha County Giving Hope, Richardson County Cancer Fund and the Mary Kay Foundation. Those interested in registering for the Fun Run can do so by mailing in the registration form on the Stella Fun Day Facebook page, or sending the registration fee with a comment as to what you are registering for to the Stella Fun Day Venmo @stellafunrun. Registration includes a t-shirt, and costs $25 before Saturday, May 4, or $30 after the 4th.
The Stella Fun Day/Run committee would also like to thank everyone who supported the event at the breakfast feed held Saturday, April 27. The breakfast featured pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage links and eggs, along with drinks and all the extras. The Fun Day/Run committee is very grateful for all the support in making the Fun Day happen.
