Incumbent Nemaha County District 2 Commissioner Bryan Mellage of Auburn overwhelmed two Republican opponents to advance to the Tuesday, Nov. 5 general election.
In the Tuesday, May 14 primary, Mellage had 122 votes to 61 for Frank Critser and 47 for Rick Helms. Mellage will have no Democratic opponent in the fall.
There were 1,220 votes cast, including 209 early voters, constituting 27.81 percent of the county’s 4,387 registered voters.
