The annual Old Man River Days festival takes place in Peru this weekend. Most activities occur Saturday, June 8 in the downtown area.
The morning includes a fishing tournament, nature walk, firefighters water fight, children’s parade, talent and pet show, children’s carnival and a cake walk. Starting in the morning and continuing into the afternoon will be a vendor fair, silent auction and volunteer firefighters will serve lunch.
A scavenger hunt, lemonade stand competition, children’s water fight and flinging a fish are in the afternoon.
