A wide range of activities will occur in Johnson as the Johnson Chamber of Commerce celebrates 60 years of Chickenfest.
After years of being on Father’s Day, the barbecue is being served on Saturday, June 15. It will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at $15 each. The Johnson-Brock FFA will serve ice cream for a freewill donation. Most functions occur that day.
Festivities will open Friday night, June 14 as Johnson and Johnson-Brock alumni gather at the Legion Hall. Friendship hour is at 6 p.m. followed by the 7 p.m. banquet. The Class of 1974 will be honored. Hosts will be the Class of 1984.
