Nemaha County Schools may be closed for the summer, but the local ballfields are more than full with dozens of youth sports teams enjoying their summer vacations on the diamonds playing baseball and softball.
On Wednesday, May 29, teams from Southeast Nebraska traveled to Sportsman’s Park in Johnson to compete against Johnson-Brock Athletic Club teams including the JBAC’s 12 and under softball team and two 10 and under baseball teams.
JBAC teams will continue to play competitively against opponents from various towns in the area through the end of June.
