Peru State Athletics announced the hiring of Mike Sybrant to take over the Bobcat women’s basketball program.
Coach Sybrant spent the past season as the assistant coach of the women’s program helping lead the Bobcats to their first Heart Conference tournament in 11 years. Additionally, the women’s program produced five National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics scholar-athletes, four All-Conference players, two 1,000-point scorers and one player on the All-Defensive Team.
“We are lucky to have a coach on staff of Mike’s caliber and the decision to promote him was an easy one. Coach Sybrant’s work rate, knowledge of the game and love of Peru have been easy to see this year. We look forward to the continued success and improvement of our women’s basketball program!,” noted Kyle Pond, Peru State athletic director.
