The Auburn Airstream Juniors baseball came out of the most recent week of play with a 3-2 record with both losses coming at the hands of Lincoln Christian. Wins over Louisville/Weeping Water, Springfield, and Doniphan County boosted the Juniors’ season record to 5-10.
Louisville/Weeping Water The Juniors scored a season-high 15 runs on Monday, Jun 10 against Louisville/Weeping Water, resulting in a 15-8 victory to start the week. Ayden Smith and Briston Blecha reached home plate three times each to put six runs on the board for the Auburn team.
Auburn led 1-0 entering the second inning, where they stacked up seven more runs. Blecha drove home Smith for his first run of the game as the AA Juniors loaded the bases with one out. An error, a walk, and one batter hit by a pitch later and the Auburn team would lead 8-0 midway through the second.
