Johnson-Brock graduate Sloan Pelican traded in his white and red jersey for a yellow and green uniform that read “EAST” for one final game in football pads during the 47th Annual Sertoma 8-man All-Star game on Saturday, June 15.
Though Pelican’s East team would fall to the West team by a score of 22-8. Pelican would connect with Osceola’s Kale Gustafson for the team’s only touchdown of the evening.
Going from being involved in nearly every offensive snap as the Eagles’ starting quarterback his senior season, Pelican knew that in the all-star game his opportunities would be limited.
