High Heel payed a visit to Auburn’s Legion Memorial Park on Friday, June 21. While the day was hot and humid, the weather for the concert was far more tolerable, and droves of Auburnites came out to enjoy the music.
Auburn’s first Summer Sounds Concert was rained out two weeks ago, so High Heel had the honor of kicking off the concert seaon. Lead vocalist Lisa Larsen wowed the audience with her belting voice and signature hot-pink dress. Singing hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, there were songs that anyone in attendance could recognize and enjoy!
Mother Talisa’s Wood Fire Pizza was at the park, catering to hungry guests, and the beer garden was open as well. Auburn’s Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Leslie Clark mentioned that, while the concerts themselves won’t be much different from previous years, they are planning on bringing in three new artists who haven’t performed for Auburn’s Summer Sounds Concerts before.
