According to the Nemaha County Sheriff’s office, at around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, a Mazda CX5, driven by Brandi Asher, was struck by another vehicle while traveling north on Highway 75.

David McPherson, the driver of the 2000 Buick Park Avenue, traveled east across Highway 75 and struck the back-left corner of Asher’s vehicle, spinning the Mazda 90-degrees and resulting in Asher’s vehicle punching through the front wall of Dairy Sweet. Asher was transported to Nemaha County Hospital, but no serious or life-threatening injuries were reported for anyone involved. McPherson was cited with failure to yield.
