There will be 26 boys and girls ages 8 through 12 gaining business experience during the Auburn Chamber of Commerce Slice of Summer Days Thursday and Friday, July 18 and 19.
Last week, they learned business skills at the third annual Lemonade Stand Camp at the Auburn Senior Center. Those included developing their product, selecting a suitable location, creating an advertising and marketing plan, setting a budget and profit goals, and growing customer service skills and handling money. The youngsters will sell the beverage outside businesses at various locations around the city.
The camp was organized by the Auburn Chamber and Nebraska Extension. Sponsors were Union Bank & Trust and Lunzmann Realty.
