The City of Auburn has requested a grant of $922,520 in hopes of revitalization for three recreational areas around town.
City Administrator/Economic Developer Crystal Dunekacke explained to the Auburn City Council during their meeting on Monday, July 8 that the state is taking grant requests for money remaining from the Rural Community Recovery Program (RCRP).
The RCRP is a one-time $10 million fund to provide grants for the installation of neighborhood features to promote improved health and was established in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
