Nemaha Commissioners Informed of Visitor’s Committee Activities

The Nemaha County Visitor’s Committee has approved funding for improvement grants and promotional events, the county commissioners were notified of Wednesday morning, July 31.

Sonia Kistner, president, shared the 2024 annual report. During the past 12 months, the committee has received $21,801.32 in lodging tax. It certified seven improvement grants totaling $27,427.12 and 12 promotional events and tourism applications totaling $7,325.

Improvement grants included: Brownville Education Center for Arts and Humanities, Village Theatre and Welcome Center; the Coryell Park bridal house; Julian post office and Nemaha village park.
