New Johnson-Brock Teachers for 2024-25 School Year

LOREN STEINMAN is familiar with Southeast Nebraska, growing up in Nebraska City, where he graduated from NCHS as valedictorian. He then graduated with his bachelors degree in science and biological systems engineering and furthered his education at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign.

Steinman will be teaching science this year at Johnson-Brock and will also be a sponsor for the Science Olympiad. Previously, Steinman substituted taught mainly in Nebraska City, including a long-term sub position in the Spring of 2023. Starting his first full-time teaching position at Johnson-Brock this fall, Steinman says he is excited to learn the process along with his students.

The past two summers, Steinman has worked as an ecology director at a camp for the Boy Scouts of America. This past spring, a former Johnson- Brock teacher who also worked at the camp told Steinman about the teaching position at Johnson-Brock, praising the school and the community.
