Johnson-Brock Gets First Win at Home Over Exeter-Milligan/Friend Behind 30-Point First Half

Johnson-Brock Gets First Win at Home Over Exeter-Milligan/Friend Behind 30-Point First Half

Exeter-Milligan/Friend was eventually able to adjust to slow down the high-powered Eagle offense Friday night and put together a few offensive drives to make the fourth quarter interesting in Johnson, but a hot start which saw a 30-8 Johnson-Brock lead in the first half was too much for the Bobcats to come back from. Despite a scoreless second half from the Eagles, Johnson-Brock outlasted EMF’s second half comeback.

Quarterback Wyatt Fulton threw for 82 yards, connecting on 15 of his 21 passing attempts, including a touchdown to Brody Koehler. Koehler was by far Fulton’s top target, racking up 11 receptions in the game for just under 69 yards. Hayden Gravatt carried the ball 17 times in the win over EMF, going for 161 yards and two touchdowns, including Johnson-Brock’s first score of the game.

After pulling ahead 8-0, the Eagle defense would come up with a stop, setting up the Fulton-Koehler connection to make it 16-0 in the first quarter.
