Johnson-Brock went 2-1 in the A division of the 2024 MUDECAS volleyball tournament, falling to Class D1 #6 Brunning-Davenport/ Shickely (BDS) in the semifinal round two sets to one, for their second loss of the season.
The Lady Eagles entered the tournament as the #2 seed, with eventual tournament champion Freeman as the top seed. Johnson-Brock defeated #7 Meridian on Monday, September 16 and bounced back from their Tuesday loss against BDS to outlast #4 Johnson County Central in straight sets to finish third in the tournament.
Senior Taryn Ottemann tallied 36 total kills and six blocks in the seven sets played at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, leading the team in both categories.
