Two second half touchdowns for the Eagles broke a 14-14 halftime tie, treating the Johnson-Brock faithful to a homecoming win over Johnson County Central on Friday, September 20.
The Eagles had a balanced offensive attack against the Thunderbirds, earing 248 yards on the ground and 142 yards through the air. Quarterback Wyatt Fulton completed 13 of his 22 passing attempts for 142 yards. Fulton also had 10 carries for 82 yards including a 54-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Hayden Gravatt scored Johnson-Brock’s first touchdown just over a minute into the game, taking a pitch from Fulton 34-yards for the opening score. Fulton’s long touchdown came shortly after, putting the Eagles up 14-0 after three and-a-half minutes of football.
