After giving up 41 points to Class C1 #2 Ashland-Greenwood on September 20 in their only loss of the season, the Bulldogs have kept their opponents off the scoreboard entirely for three straight weeks.
Entering their Friday, October 11 game against Fairbury, the Bulldogs were hot off wins over Wilber-Clatonia and Falls City by scores of 68-0 and 45-0. With their most recent win over Fairbury by a score of 410, Auburn has outscored their last three opponents 154-0 Senior linebacker Lance Binder led the Auburn defense in tackles with 10 total, followed by Brant Gulizia, Camden Taylor, and Owen Rowell with eight tackles a piece. Auburn also turned the Jeffs over twice on interceptions by Nixon Ligouri and Brenton Wenzl.
Including the pair of picks, Fairbury threw the ball 14 times, but only successfully five times for a total of 22 yards. Auburn only allowed 62 rushing yards by the Jeffs, leading to the shutout.
