Blood Drives Oct. 22-23 at PSC, Johnson-Brock

Peru State College and Johnson-Brock High School will be the sites of American Red Cross blood donation opportunities next week.

You can give the gift of life Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Al Wheeler Activity Center, 600 Hoyt St. at Nebraska’s first college. You can also donate Wednesday, Oct. 23 from noon to 6 p.m. at Johnson-Brock High School, 310 Main St.

There are multiple options to make an appointment to give or obtain additional information. Download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to give the gift of life. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
