Dr. Michael Evans, Peru State College (PSC) president, has announced his intention to retire, in a letter addressed to the Nebraska State College System (NSCS) chancellor. He will be leaving the campus of Nebraska’s first college at the end of November.
“It has been an honor to serve as president of Peru State College. The dedication of our faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members has made this experience rewarding, and I will always cherish the time spent working together to ensure the continued success of Peru State,” Evans stated.
“Dr. Evans has been an advocate for student success, fostering a holistic approach to education while valuing the community Peru State serves. His focus on faculty and staff, along with his dedication to building strategic partnerships, has significantly enhanced opportunities for our students,” noted Dr. Paul Turman, NSCS chancellor.
