10 Seniors Conclude Bulldog Football Careers in State Semifinal Loss to Wahoo 59-7; Auburn Finishes Historic Season with 10-2 Record

Auburn High School’s best football season in 18 years came to an end Friday night, when the Bulldogs ran into a stout Wahoo squad in the semifinal round of the Class C1 state football playoffs.

The #3 Warriors overpowered #7 Auburn from the start, scoring a 56-yard touchdown on their first offensive snap to put the Bulldogs at a distance early. Instead of an answer, the Bulldogs fumbled the ball away on the ensuing drive, setting up Wahoo’s second touchdown just two plays later.
