Two-Time Defending State Champion Eagle Boys Basketball Team Roll Into Season on 36 Straight Wins With Top Three Scorers Back

THE JOHNSON-BROCK BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM is made up of, first row: Coach Seth Feeken, Chris Melvin, Casen Dalinghaus, Austin Meyer, Camden Dalinghaus and Garrison Bowhay. Second row: Coach Ben Ideas, Grady Behrends, Brody Koehler, Robert Gravatt, Gage Rasmussen, Hayden Gravatt and Head Coach Lucus Dalinghaus. Third row: Ben Parriott, Tate Hawley, Justin Meyer, Jesse Beck, Evan Alberts, Caleb Bohling and Quentin Behrends. Fourth row: Will Day, Lucas Schulz, Wyatt Fulton, Tyler Parriott, Calvin Benham, Lane Robeson and Brogan Bowhay. Back row: Dierks Caspers, Caleb Hodges, Brayden Wilcox, Deacon Bernadt, Kingston Neddenriep and Oliver Everett.

There is no doubt of the team to beat in Class D1. The two-time defending state champion Johnson-Brock Eagles are riding a 36-game winning streak, spanning two state titles, into the 2024-25 basketball season with their top three offensive weapons back in search of a three-peat.

Seniors Camden and Casen Dalinghaus have one final go-around on the hardwood before graduating. Camden led the team in scoring with 15.7 a game last season to go with 4.3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.4 steals and was the Eagles’ biggest threat from beyond the arch, cashing in 46 threes on 45 percent efficiency. The honorary captain for the Class D1 all-state first team also has two Pioneer Conference first team honors and two all-tournament team honors and is a shot away from 1,000 career points.

Casen poured in another 10.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.4 steals, making exactly as many threes last season as his brother. The off-guard was an all-state honorable mention selection last season and was a Pioneer Conference honorable mention player each of the last two years.
