Three Submissions for 5th Judicial District Judge; Includes Nemaha and Adjacent Counties

There have been three individuals who have applied for the Nebraska Supreme Court judge in the 5th Judicial District.

They are: David J. A. Bargen of Adams; Jason M. Bergevin of Columbus and Lawrence E. Welch, Jr. of Plattsmouth The district consists of the following counties: Nemaha, Johnson, Otoe, Richardson, Pawnee, Butler, Cass, Clay, Colfax, Fillmore, Gage, Hall, Hamilton, Jefferson, Merrick, Nance, Nuckolls, Platte, Polk, Saline, Saunders, Seward, Thayer, Webster and York.

The vacancy was created after the appointment of Judge Jeffrey Funke as chief justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
