After three consecutive second place finishes at the Class C1 boys state basketball tournament, eight seniors hope to push the Bulldogs over the edge to win their fourth state title in seven years.
Seniors Nixon Ligouri and Cameron Leslie return from last year’s silver-medal starting lineup. Ligouri averaged 12.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists. He has already cracked the AHS record books with over 700 career points and is the fifth on the list in career three-pointers, shooting 43 percent last season. Entering his senior season, Ligouri has already earned two all-tournament team selections, second and first team all-conference selections, and a second team all-state selection.
Leslie earned honorable mention honors for all-conference and all-state last year, averaging 7.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and an assist as an inside threat.
