DIANE MARIE LANXON
Diane Marie Lanxon was born in Auburn, Nebraska to Amel and Vanlora McVay on July 28, 1958. She went to school in Auburn and was the Drill Team Captain for her High School Class of 1977.
She married the love of her life, Leland (Lee) Lanxon, enjoyed being a military wife, unconditionally loving him and their children in 46 years of marriage.
She enjoyed taking care of their children while being a stay-at-home mom in their early years. She had a passion for crafting and sewing quilts. She enjoyed the ladies’ sewing and craft groups that she would meet up with. She also loved sewing and doing crafts with her grandchildren. She would frequent as many of the grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities as she could, always giving a joyful wave, clapping and cheering them on.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Amel and Vanlora McVay and is survived by her husband Lee, their three children Jennifer (Lanxon) and John Montemayor of Waco, TX, Kevin and Karen Lanxon of Harker Heights, TX, and Keith and Kaci Lanxon of Ridgeway, WI. Seven grandchildren John L. Montemayor, Jr, David Lanxon, Simon Montemayor, Alyssa Montemayor, Daniel Lanxon, Leairah Lanxon, and Everly Sue Lanxon.
She is survived by her brother Alan and Sharon McVay of Beatrice, NE and their children Kyle McVay and Megan Beavers.
Diane’s family will greet friends Saturday, June 29, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. A graveside committal service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery near Auburn.
