Paul J. (PJ) Vercauteren, loving husband of Sadie Johnson Vercauteren, departed this life gently in Savannah, Georgia, on August 13, 2024, with his wife of 20 years at his side. PJ was born at De Pere, Wisconsin on December 13, 1972, and grew up there. His employment took him to Alabama, where he and Sadie met through a mutual friend and were married on May 22, 2004. PJ bravely faced cancer and kidney failure for nine months. He was beloved by many and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, those who mourn his passing include his parents; eight siblings and their families; his wife’s parents, Brad and Merri Johnson of Auburn, NE; his wife’s brother and family, Guy, Sharona, Brecking and Sawyer Johnson of St. Joseph, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
